@writeontime and @nanpalmero have put the kids in charge of this month’s #BMPR. So @jessyoung13 and I will make sure this isn’t the last #BMPR ever. It shouldn’t be. We’ve got some high-priced (not really) talent coming in to talk to us about blogging and all that entails. So if you’ve considered a blog, have a blog, abandoned a blog or don’t even know what a blog is, this month’s #BMPR is for you.
First up, will be a non-blogging presentation by Christian Lozano of the National Council of La Raza. NCLR is having it’s national conference in San Antonio July 10-13. They have partnered with #BMPR to help with social media. We’re looking for some volunteers to spend a little time July 10-11 to teach quick social media sessions and shoot some video. #BMPR is being featured as THE social media group helping NCLR. We’ve been given a full-page color ad in the program, logo on their Website and passes to all the talks. The hashtag is #NCLRCONF.
The Bloggers: Jason Teitelman (@jaybetee)
Jason is the blogger-domo over at Blog Catalog. He and his programmer “Bill” will talk about some of the technical aspects of blogging. (Like why I can pull in video, but I can’t get any blasted photos to load.)
Pamela O. Price (@redwhiteandgrew)
Pamela turned her passion for gardening into a successful blog and a bit of a local gardening movement here in San Antonio. She will talk about how she (a self-described Luddite) overcame her technical shortcomings to produce her award-winning blog, “Red, White & Grew.“
Dawn Cole (@lettergirl)
Some of you may be learning @lettergirl‘s real name for the first time. She is arguably one of the funniest and thoughtful people blogging today and we have her in San Antonio. Her blog, “Not Going Postal,” is consistently nominated as one of the funniest places on the Web.
This month’s #BMPR starts at noon at the Holiday Inn San Antonio International Airport. Lunch is $13. If you bring your own food, @Lettergirl will eviscerate your poor manners in an upcoming blog. It sounds like an honor but it won’t be pretty.
Be there, or be square.

Can Gringos volunteer?
